Beginners Mind: The Foundations of Yoga (ongoing)

This offering is both a beginner workshop and also accommodates lifelong practitioners including teachers. This class is for all ages, mobility, and especially for those who believe they are not flexible.

Location:

Let’s meet Tuesdays 9:30-10:30 at 1104 Cabarrus Street. There is plenty of parking in front of the studio along the street. Kindly arrive up to 10 minutes early to settle in the space and ensure an on time start.

  • Traditional and trauma informed breathing techniques


  • Functional alignment techniques that support stability and compassionate inquiry

  • Foundational yoga postures and common modifications to help you feel empowered in your body and mind

  • Gentle, yet powerful sequences that gradually build self awareness, strength, and balance


  • A variety of restorative postures and nourishing relaxation techniques


  • Accessible meditation techniques

  • Beginners or novices who want to learn a yoga practice from the ground up and gain strength, calm, and vitality while eliminating fatigue and stress.

  • Those who seek highly effective whole human balancing techniques that support you where you are.

  • People interested in learning more about yoga, and how to move efficiently to gain mental clarity, regulated nervous system, better sleep, stability, strength, core strength, flexibility, power, and stamina.

  • Anyone who is curious or ready to fine tune their foundations or step into a deeper practice of yoga, postures, breath, and meditation techniques.

  • Yoga teachers and other wellness professionals seeking fresh inspiration and tools to offer their students and clients.

Cost: $15 per session, $150 10 class card is encouraged. Sliding scale/pay what you can available upon request.
