"Neuro-supportive touch" typically refers to a type of physical touch or contact that is designed to provide support and benefits to the nervous system. This term is often used in various therapeutic contexts, including massage therapy, occupational therapy, and other forms of bodywork.

The idea behind neuro-supportive touch is to engage with the nervous system in a way that promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and enhances overall well-being. It may involve gentle and intentional touch aimed at positively influencing the neural pathways, promoting a sense of safety, and potentially helping individuals manage conditions such as anxiety, trauma, or sensory processing issues.

Practitioners who specialize in neuro-supportive touch may tailor their techniques to meet the specific needs and comfort levels of their clients, and they often take into account the individual's sensory preferences and any potential sensitivities. It's important to note that the term may be used in various contexts, and specific practices can vary depending on the professional field and the goals of the therapy.
